Students in preparatory classes (CPGE and CLPES)

Are you a student in a preparatory class for the Grandes Écoles (CPGE) or a preparatory class for higher education (CLPES)? Enrolling in a bachelor’s degree program while attending your preparatory class is a program designed to ensure a smooth academic path and provide you with opportunities to transition to university.

What are the benefits of dual enrollment in college?

By enrolling in a bachelor's degree program at the University ofUniversité Grenoble Alpes s (UGA) while you are in preparatory classes, you'll enjoy several benefits:
  • Recognition of Prior Learning:
You can have your bachelor's degree year recognized and receive the corresponding ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits, which are recognized throughout Europe.
  • Flexibility in Changing Majors:
If you decide to drop out of your preparatory program, you can more easily switch to a bachelor’s degree program, either during the academic year or at the end of your first year.
  • Further Education:
After completing your preparatory class, you can enter the third year of a bachelor’s degree program (L3) or apply for a master’s degree program (only for students in the humanities, known as “cubes”).
  • UGA student card:
You will receive an official Université Grenoble Alpes student card. This card gives you access to all university services, including university libraries, documentary resources, career guidance and employment services, and services dedicated to student life (sports, culture, health, etc.).
