The rates above apply to:
  • Students who are French citizens or nationals of a country in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland.
  • International students from outside Europe in the following cases:
    • Students who are residents of Quebec.
    • Students who hold a long-term resident card or students who have declared their tax household or have been part of a tax household in France for more than two years.
    • Students who have been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection, or children of individuals who have been granted such status.
    • Students enrolled in doctoral programs, in programs leading to the qualification to supervise research, and in postgraduate programs in medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy.
    • Students enrolled in a preparatory class for the grandes écoles, regardless of their nationality, who are also enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a university.
    • Students enrolled in a public institution of higher education under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, at all levels (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral) for the 2018–2019 academic year.
    • Students enrolled in a French as a Foreign Language program in France before the start of the 2019–2020 academic year.
For other international students from outside Europe, Differential fees are charged. That said, it is possible to apply for an exemption.
