Remote Sites

Our remote locations

In addition to Grenoble and Valence, our university also has several campuses located throughout the region, from Haute-Savoie to the Hautes-Alpes, including the Ardèche.

Hautes-Alpes - The Lautaret Garden

The Lautaret Garden is located at an elevation of 2,100 meters at the Lautaret Pass in the Hautes-Alpes. For over 100 years, this garden has maintained and preserved a vast collection of 2,000 species of mountain flowers from around the world, set in an exceptional landscape overlooking the Meije glaciers.

Haute-Savoie - The School of Physics in Les Houches

Perched at an altitude of 1,200 meters, in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif, the École de Physique des Houches has been training generations of top-tier scientists since 1951. A true cradle of modern physics that has nurtured more than fifty future Nobel laureates, this high-altitude campus combines the rigor of cutting-edge research with the serenity of the mountains to foster scientific creativity.

Ardèche - The Cermosem Rural Campus

This one-of-a-kind campus hosts Cermosem, the Ardèche branch of the Institute of Urban Planning and Alpine Geography of Université Grenoble Alpes. Here, nature is not just a view outside the window: it is your primary learning ground. Your study projects directly draw on the surrounding biodiversity, local geology, and the challenges facing rural areas.
