First-time registration at Université Grenoble Alpes

Are you about to apply to the University of the South (Université Grenoble Alpes , UGA) for the first time? Find out the important dates and steps to follow to apply online.

Registration for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year begin in early July 2026.

Please note the date that applies to you:
  • Thursday, July 2, 2026: Master's 1.
  • Friday, July 3, 2026: All levels except Bachelor’s Degree Year 1, BUT Year 1, and PASS.
  • Tuesday, July 7, 2026: First-Year Bachelor's Degree, First-Year Bachelor's Degree Program, and PASS.

These dates may vary by program. It is therefore essential that you check the website of the school, college, or institute that administers your program to verify the exact registration schedule for your program.

Step 1: Pay the CVEC

Before you enroll in college, you must pay the Student Life and Campus Fee (CVEC). This is a fee administered by the CROUS that is used to fund projects aimed at improving your living and learning conditions.

For the 2025–2026 academic year, the CVEC amount is 105 €.

Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Log in to the cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr website
  2. Pay your fee online. Please note: Some people are exempt from the CVEC. Before paying, be sure to check the website to see if this applies to you.
  3. Download your CVEC certificate and keep it in a safe place.

Step 2: Register online

Once you have paid the CVEC fee, you can proceed to online registration. 
  1. Before you begin, we recommend that you review the online registration guidefor assistance.
  2. Next, log in to the online administrative registration platform (iaprimo) and follow the instructions.
  3. Once your registration is complete, you can view your registration confirmation on our online portal.

Step 3: Submit your supporting documents


  1. Confirmation Email After confirming your registration, you will receive a confirmation email listing the documents you must submit. These documents are required and must be submitted in digital format via the submission platform.
  2. UGA Digital Login Credentials
    Your UGA login credentials will then be sent to you by email at the address you provided during your online registration. You will need them to access the submission platform. Please note: It may take 48 to 72 hours after your registration to receive these credentials.
  3. Online Submission of Documents
    Once you have received your UGA login credentials, you can submit the required documents via the submission platform.

Step 4: Obtain your proof of enrollment

As soon as you have your UGA login credentials, you can also log in to your student intranet to download your proof of enrollment and, if you had any expenses to pay, your payment receipt.
  1. Before you begin, we recommend that you consult the user manual for guidance.
  2. Have your login credentials ready, then go to the Leo student intranet: leo.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr
  3. Once you've logged in, click the"MonDossierWeb" icon located at the bottom left of the home page, and follow the instructions.

Step 5: Pick up your student ID card

How you pick up your student ID card depends on your academic unit (faculty, school, institute).

Picking Up a Student ID Card at a Self-Service Kiosk

The components involved
First, check whether your department offers the option to pick up your student ID card at a self-service kiosk. The departments involved are:
  • Department of Science and Technology (DLST) - Grenoble Campus
  • School of Law - Grenoble Campus
  • Grenoble School of Economics
  • School of Medicine
  • School of Pharmacy
  • National Institute for Teacher Education and Education (INSPE)
  • University Institute of Technology 1 (IUT 1) – Grenoble Campus, for the following programs:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Construction (GCCD)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computer Science (GEII)
    • Major in Networks and Telecommunications (RT)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (GMP)
  • University Institute of Technology 2 (IUT 2) - Grenoble Campus
  • Faculty of Arts and Humanities (ARSH)
  • Department of Chemistry and Biology
  • Grenoble School of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics (IM2AG)
  • Faculty of Language, Literature, Performing Arts, Information, and Communication (LLASIC)
  • Faculty of Physical and Sports Sciences and Techniques (STAPS) - Grenoble Campus
  • Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHS)
  • Faculty of Societies, Cultures, and Foreign Languages (SoCLE)
 The Procedure to Follow
If your component uses this system, you will need to must Please complete the following steps before picking up your student ID card:
  1. You have submitted all your supporting documents (see Step 3).
  2. You have received an email confirming that your supporting documents have been approved by your academic department.
  3. Download the UGA Campus app.
  4. Upload the QR code to the app (it will only be available once your supporting documents have been approved). Please note: this is not the Parcoursup QR code!
  5. Go to the kiosk in your department with your QR code to print your card.

Pick up your student ID card at the Registrar's Office

If your department does not have terminals, you will need to contact your registrar's office to find out how to pick up your card.
