Study at Université Grenoble Alpes

Do your skills qualify?

To begin with, you need to be sure that your experience—whether professional or otherwise— is directly related to the degree you are pursuing.

What degrees can you earn through the VAE?

Next, you need to verify that the degree you want to earn is eligible for the VAE. The qualifications in question are those issued by the government. This also applies to certain university diplomas (DU), provided they are listed in the national registry of professional certifications.

How many times can you apply for a VAE?

The number of applications is limited. You may submit only one application per year for the same degree, and no more than three applications in total during a calendar year, even if the degrees are different.

Good to Know

• The VAE can be full or partial. If it is partial, the committee will tell you what you need to complete in order to earn the full degree.
• The recognition of prior learning (RPL) process for a doctoral degree is unique.
