Apply for a program on the Études en France (PEF) platform

Do you live abroad and want to study at our university? If you are not a citizen of the European Union and live in a country that is part of the Campus France network, you must apply through the Études en France (PEF) platform.

Before you begin, please make sure that this procedure is followed at the school, college, or institute where you are enrolled.

Here are the important dates to keep in mind as you plan your studies.

Please note: These dates are tentative and may change during the year. Check the platform regularly to confirm them.

Starting October 1, 2025: Submission of applications

  1. Log in to the Études en France platform:
    pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/
  2. Create an account on the platform.
  3. Submit your application.
    • If you wish to apply for the first year of a bachelor’s degree (L1):
      You may list up to three choices , across all institutions.
      You must submit your application on the platform by December 15, 2025.
    • If you wish to apply for another degree (L2, L3, master's):
      You may list up to seven choices across all institutions.
      The deadline for submitting your application on the platform depends on your country of residence.

Through March 15, 2026: Review of applications

  • The Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Offices review your application materials and verify your supporting documents and language proficiency.

Through April 30, 2026: Response from the university

  • Our academic committees receive and review your applications.
  • They then issue an opinion: favorable or unfavorable.

Before May 31, 2026: final decision

  • If you receive a positive response from the university, you must indicate which program you wish to enroll in at the start of the school year.
  • If you have more than one positive result, you must choose just one. This step is essential in order to begin the visa application process at the consulate.
  • As soon as you accept an offer of admission, all your other applications are automatically withdrawn.
 

Special Cases

If you wish to apply for a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or applied mathematics in the MOSIG, SIAM, cybersecurity, ORCO, and fundamental mathematics tracks, you must submit two separate applications.
