We open the doors to the world for you, with more than 1,200 partner universities in 85 countries, 19 languages taught, and a multicultural campus that brings together 150 nationalities.
International Mobility
Do you dream of going abroad to discover new ways of studying, learn a new language, explore other cultures, or have an enriching experience? Take advantage of your college years to make it happen! We open the doors to the world for you, with more than 1,200 partner universities in 85 countries. All of our programs offer, at some point,
the opportunity to go abroad for a month, a semester, or a full year, as part of an internship or study program.
Internationalization at Home
Beyond international mobility, we are developing a comprehensive approach to internationalization. The goal: to enable all students to broaden their international horizons, whether they study abroad or experience this dimension firsthand on our campuses in Grenoble or Valence.
We therefore offer a wide range of internationalization initiatives right here at home (
Internationalization at Home). These take the form
foreign language instruction, lectures on cultural diversity, or events that foster interaction among students, such as “world cafés.”
Some initiatives also aim to strengthen ties between French and international students. For example, the mentoring program allows students from Université Grenoble Alpes to support newly arrived international students, helping them discover the campuses, the city, and student life.

International Student Welcome
Every year, we welcome students from all over the world to our campuses, which have become places of exchange, learning, and openness.
The support and guidance provided to international students are handled by dedicated departments. In both Grenoble and Valence, the teams at
the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) help international students with the process of settling in and navigating daily life: housing, visas, health care, insurance, and getting to know the campus.
We also develop specific initiatives to support people with special needs.
