Studying Abroad Through an Exchange Program: Student Mobility Programs

Here is an overview of the various partnership programs available to support your study abroad experience.

The Different Types of Partnerships

  • The Erasmus+ Program
This program is undoubtedly the best known. It covers most countries in the European Union.
  • Regional-Specific Programs
If you're interested in destinations such as North America or Canada, there are dedicated programs available. For example, the Trans-Atlantic Science Exchange Program (TASSEP) is a program specifically for students in science fields.
  • Bilateral agreements
These agreements are concluded directly between Université Grenoble Alpes and numerous universities around the world. They offer a wide variety of destinations.

Programs Offered by Your Department

Each component (schools, faculties, or institutes) of Université Grenoble Alpes has its own Erasmus+ or bilateral agreements, which are reserved for its students.

The duration, timing of your departure, and the courses you can take depend on your study program. Each program has its own rules to ensure that your stay abroad fits seamlessly into your academic journey.

To find the partnership that best suits your project, the best thing to do is to reach out to the “International Relations” coordinators in your department. They are in the best position to advise you based on your situation and your career goals. Feel free to contact them to discuss your study abroad plans.
