ETC Environment and Health

Training
This course is designed to provide students with a foundation in environmental health and to deepen their understanding of certain toxic substances.

Environmental health is a fundamental concern for our century. It is based on a concept proposed in 2005: the “exposome, ” defined as “the sum of all exposures—whether voluntary or involuntary—that may influence human health over the course of a lifetime.” A wide range of factors must therefore be taken into account: chemical hazards (endocrine disruptors, nanoparticles, various pollutants), diet, the use of medications or drugs, biological agents (viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi), noise and light pollution, radiation, and more.
