Success in Undergraduate Studies: The "Oui-Si" Programs

What is the purpose of the "Oui-Si" programs?

Succeeding in college is about much more than just gaining knowledge. It's also adopt new work methods, become more independent, and develop a coherent career plan. The "Oui-Si" programs are here to help you navigate these steps. They were designed by our teams to provide you with targeted support.

What does a "Yes-If" response mean on Parcoursup?

When a program offers you a "Yes-If," it means that the university is offering you personalized support to help you succeed. This support is formalized through An Educational Agreement for Student Success. This contract is entered into between you and the administration of your program. It specifies in detail:
  • Your educational background.
  • The specific support measures that will be offered to you.
By accepting this contract, You agree to to follow up on these support initiatives implemented by the training program.

"Oui-Si" programs: What exactly are they?

Upon entering the bachelor's program, we offer three main types of "Oui-Si" support:
 
"Yes-If" support measures offered at Université Grenoble Alpes
Device Duration of the course Distinctive Feature
Enhanced L1 3 years
(standard duration of a bachelor's degree)
You take all the courses in the first year of college, but you also participate in regular support sessions organized in small groups.
L1 spread out 4 years
(extended duration)
First-year courses are spread out evenly over two academic years. This allows you to maintain a more manageable pace while still benefiting from small-group instruction.
Preparatory Year 4 years
(extended duration)
The first year is a preparatory yeardesigned to strengthen your foundation before you begin your first year of undergraduate studies (L1). You’ll take courses to fill in any gaps in your study skills and subject knowledge. You’ll also receive guidance in developing your academic plan and may even complete an internship to test your interests.

What are the specific support measures?

No matter which program you join, you’ll benefit from specific support services:
  • Tutoring sessions with a teacher.
  • Tutoring sessions with a more experienced student.
  • Individualized, personalized support from a designated teacher.
 
 

Please note

You cannot apply directly for the “Oui-Si” program, as it is offered after your application has been reviewed on Parcoursup. However, you can always reach out to your academic advisors for other forms of support throughout your program.
