The Interuniversity Committee on Elite Sports (CUSHN)

This committee coordinates all actions and measures related to supporting the dual-track programs of the 700 high-level student athletes at Université Grenoble Alpes. This tailored and personalized support stands out as the most comprehensive in France.

The Role of CUSHN

The CUSHN supports high-level student athletes at Université Grenoble Alpes in balancing their athletic training with university studies. This committee coordinates and regulates actions related to supporting high-level student athletes. It establishes the eligibility criteria for the high-level student athlete status and then grants it. It defines the various support measures available to high-level student athletes with regard to the Charter for Elite Sports, which sets the institutions' policy regarding support for high-level student-athletes.

France's largest committee for elite sports

Currently, CUSHN manages more than 700 elite student-athletes, including more than a hundred in the Inter'Val program at Université Grenoble Alpes, reserved for winter sports specialists (primarily skiers) listed as high-level athletes and competing on international circuits, making it quantitatively the largest committee in France. Academically, these students are monitored by experienced coordinating instructors, allowing their schedules to be customized to each individual's needs. Each year, this enables approximately 75% of them to successfully complete their academic contracts. Notably, this success rate is higher than that of all Université Grenoble Alpes students combined.

Succeeding in a dual athletic and academic path is truly a reality at Université Grenoble Alpes!
