High-level student athletes: athletic support

Thanks to the sports support services provided by Université Grenoble Alpes, elite student-athletes benefit from resources that offer optimal training and recovery conditions.
The athletic development of high-level student-athletes is primarily overseen by club coaches and technical staff from the French federations of the relevant sports.Université Grenoble Alpes, in partnership with the organizations to which these stakeholders belong (federations, leagues, committees, etc.), provides resources to optimize training and post-workout recovery conditions on campus and, more broadly, throughout the Grenoble area.

Strength Training in the Weight Room

The weight room at the university sports center is reserved for high-level student athletes during two time slots per week. The training plan is determined by the coach or strength and conditioning coach at the civilian sports facility.

University Training and Education Centers

Track and field, flag football, judo, alpine skiing, ski mountaineering, cross-country skiing, and tennis. Offering programs in seven sports, the University Training and Coaching Centers (CUFE) are the result of a partnership between federal organizations and universities.

This specific program is based on the pooling of resources: the university provides sports facilities, while the sports community (federations, leagues, and committees) provides technical staff and coaches. The CUFEs make it possible to offer every high-level student-athlete the most competent coaching and high-quality sports facilities.
