High-Level Student Athletes: Support Programs

At the University ofUniversité Grenoble Alpes s (UGA), we support you in pursuing your dual goals: academic and athletic. Your status as a high-level student-athlete entitles you to certain forms of support. In exchange for this support, you are expected to commit to various activities.

A four-part support program

No matter what sport you play, the support provided by the University Committee for High-Performance Sports (CUSHN) focuses on four areas:
  • Academic Support
Program advisor, schedule adjustments, course sequencing...
    Learn more
  • Sports Coaching
Strength Training, University Training and Coaching Centers...
    Learn More
  • Medical and Paramedical Care
    Trauma Consultations, Recovery Care...
    Learn More
  • Social Services
    Priority access to CROUS housing.
    Learn more

These general measures apply regardless of the sport or field of study, with one exception: winter sports specialists—particularly skiers— who are on the SHN ministerial list and compete on international circuits. Practicing these sports at the international level involves very demanding and highly specific constraints. We have therefore created a program specifically for them: Inter'Val. This program also allows for asynchronous, individualized, and partially remote learning.
