ETC Sociolinguistics: Discourse, Language, and Power

This ETC offers a general introduction to sociolinguistics through the lens of a concept central to the discipline: power. Its aim is to encourage students to reflect on how language contributes to the construction of relationships of distinction and social domination.

ETC is open during the following semesters: S2

Target student audience:  L2, L3, M1, M2
Students not affected: students majoring in linguistics.

ETC time slot: Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
