Planetary science and astronomy, presented by researchers actively involved in exploration and discovery in this field.

Objectives

  • Become familiar with the basics of cosmology.
  •  Apply simple physical concepts to understand the Big Bang and the formation of stars and galaxies.
  • Place the solar system within the universe, based on its composition.
  • Understand the "components" of the solar system and how they interact on planetary and stellar scales.
  • Collaborative work throughout the semester in the virtual Martian environment.

Practical Information

ETC is open during the following semesters: S1, S2
Target student audience:  L1, L2, L3
ETC time slot: Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
