ETC: Skepticism and Intellectual Self-Defense

The goal of this course is to understand the scientific method and its critical implications by examining its boundaries: the paranormal, pseudosciences, so-called “alternative” medicines, pseudo-psychologies, and more. It covers the basics of scientific media criticism, some elements of the psychology of manipulation, critical sociology, and epistemology, as well as some skeptical skills to help develop intellectual self-defense.
